Size & Care Guide
Finding Your Perfect Fit
Measuring Your Head
Most of our wigs come in an adjustable cap size (typically fitting 21"–23") thanks to adjustable straps and combs inside the cap — designed to fit most head sizes comfortably. To confirm your fit before ordering:
- Using a soft measuring tape, measure around your head — starting at your hairline in front, going behind your ears, around the back, and back to the front.
- Compare your measurement to the size chart on each product page.
- If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up slightly, since our adjustable straps allow you to tighten the fit rather than stretch it.
Choosing Your Density
- 150% — Natural, everyday fullness, closer to how natural hair typically falls.
- 200% — Fuller and more voluminous, still natural-looking.
- 250% (our signature density) — Maximum volume from root to tip, ideal if you want a bold, glamorous look with no thinning at the ends.
Choosing Your Lace Size
- 4x4 / 5x5 Closure — A smaller parting space, great for simple, everyday styling with limited parting versatility.
- 13x4 Frontal — Ear-to-ear coverage, allows for more styling versatility (side parts, pulled-back styles).
- 13x6 HD Lace — Our most natural-looking option, offering the most parting freedom and the most seamless, undetectable hairline.
Caring for Your Kailinya Hair
Because your hair is 100% raw, virgin, and steam-processed (never acid-washed), it responds best to gentle, consistent care — the same way your natural hair would.
Washing
- Detangle gently with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb before washing — always start from the ends and work up to the roots.
- Wash with lukewarm water using a sulfate-free shampoo, focusing on the scalp area of the wig cap.
- Follow with a moisturizing conditioner, applied mid-length to ends. Avoid applying heavy conditioner directly to the lace or knots, as it can loosen them over time.
- Rinse thoroughly and gently squeeze out excess water — never wring or twist the hair.
Drying
- Air-drying is best whenever possible. Lay the wig flat or on a wig stand.
- If you need to speed up drying, use a blow dryer on low heat with a diffuser attachment, keeping it at a distance from the lace.
Styling
- Our hair holds up well to heat styling (curling, straightening) at moderate temperatures, but we recommend using a heat protectant beforehand to preserve the cuticle integrity long-term.
- For curly and wavy textures, revive the pattern between washes with a light water and leave-in conditioner spray, scrunching gently — no need to re-curl from scratch.
Storage
- Store your wig on a wig stand or mannequin head to help it keep its shape between wears.
- Avoid storing it in direct sunlight or humid areas, which can affect both the lace and the hair pattern over time.
Daily Wear (Glueless Application)
- Our glueless wigs are designed to be worn using the adjustable strap and combs — no adhesive required.
- For a more secured, long-wear hold, you can use a soft wig grip band, which won't damage your natural edges the way lace glue or tape can.
How Long Will My Hair Last?
With proper care, Kailinya hair is designed to last 12+ months with regular wear — a true investment piece rather than a short-term purchase.
